The Lawn is Finished... A Gazebo is Next

The morning was spent on the final reseeding of the lawn.  After a few hours, the bales of straw were added to keeps the birds confused and the work was complete.  Now I can sit back and wait for a while (maybe a month?) to see if all went well.  Of course, there is no rest for the weary, so then the question became "What do I work on next?"  My choices were as follows:

  • build a raised bed for the new polt that we had dug out yesterday
  • erect fence posting to surround the yard
  • fix broken gates and/or build new ones
  • build a gazebo (or something similar) that could be transformed into a greenhouse
 I decided to focus on the gazebo-like structure since I enjoy a challenge, and because it could wind up having year-round utility.  Here are some pictures capturing the spirit of today's efforts:
