Eating Vietnamese Summer Rolls

The family (and a guest) enjoying
Vietnamese Summer rolls

This time of year the garden is great for simple culinary delights.  One of our favorites is Vietnamese Summer Rolls which are made with rice paper, fresh mint, fresh chives, fresh lettuce, steamed rice and whatever type of non-plant food you prefer (today we had roasted chicken).

You begin with a bowl of warm water into which you dip your rice paper
Add a bed of rice, some chicken, mint, lettuce and chives
roll it up and dip it into your favorite sauce (my wife prefers fish sauce; I like Hoisin sauce)
share with friends and family
and don't give away the recipe for the secret sauce (unless they're really nice!)
